Morecambe Mark Installation

Monday Night the 8th October 2012, 6.30pm approaches and a veritable Galaxy of Masonic legends
gathered in the Temple at Morecambe. The main business of the evening was to install into the chair of
Morecambe Mark Lodge Bro. Thomas Henry Reaney.

With 60 Mark Lodges in the province installations are not a rarity, all are special but tonight this
installation was not only rare but also very very special. Tom had started his trip to the chair of Adoniram a
mere thirty two years earlier.

The Provincial Grand Junior Warden, Russell Greenhow entered the lodge flanked by W.Bro's Tony Harrison,
P.G.J.O., P.D.Prov.GM. Brian Davey, P.G.S.D. Special Rep, Stuart Brackstone P.G.S.D. and Geoff Lee G.J.D.
and other Grand Mark Officers.

The installing Master, W.Bro. Keith Kemp had prepared his ceremony to the nth degree ably assisted
by the Lodge DC W.Bro. Keith Lamb and ADC W.Bro. Alan Gregory. He appointed his installing officers
W.Bro's. Schofield as Senior Warden, John Wild as Junior Warden and the Inner Guard was Colin Martin.

Bro Tom Reaney was installed into the Chair of Adoniram in an impeccable fashion by W.Bro. Keith.

The Lodge Officers were appointed and Invested following which he was presented with the Key Stone
Jewel by W.Bro. R Gibson. He has addressed by Tony Harrison after which John Stanley addressed to
Wardens, John Hulme to the Overseers and the brethren by Russell Greenhow. All were first class.

  Following the ceremony the brethren
retired to a very pleasant banquet where
the New Master regaled the brethren with
tales of his youth when he had been
brought up in a 'proper' circus, you know
what he means one with animals!
No reflection on us then!

When the brethren tipped out at the end
the sky was clear.
All stars were out for Tom.

And it only took 90 minutes + 32 years!
